With an abundance of character, you will find the San Francisco de Quito in a convenient location inside the historic Old Town. The restored colonial building can be dated to the 17th century, and simple rooms with exposed brick or soft hues of yellow overlook a pretty tiled courtyard with a central fountain. Rooms are fairly basic but all have small shower rooms, cable TV and some have fireplaces. Like many of the smaller hotels in the Old Town, you can sometimes require a little patience with the plumbing! We prefer the suites and rooms that are on the higher floors, as these are quieter than those that open onto the courtyard – take ear plugs if you are light sleepers. There is a small restaurant that serves both international and local Ecuadorian dishes. One of the things that makes this hotel stand out is the outstanding and friendly staff who will look after you well during your stay.
